FEATURED WORK
“Laplanders” - Official Selection, IF4™ 2017
Laplanders traces the portrait of those who live by the rivers of Lapland in Northern Sweden.
Their quest for the Baltic Salmon is one every fisherman can relate to: an ever-going search for the next fish, and the only certitude is the efforts that will be needed to reach it. This film is an immersion into the life of those who chase, document and protect the salmon in the land of the midnight sun.

Rawest Harmony
”The Arctic represents the simplicity and balance that many of us have lost, but ultimately that's what many of us desire, to understand nature at it rawest, and live with it in harmony.“
Phil Wickens.
It's a privilege for me to have the chance to travel in the Arctic many times. Many thanks to Dylan James who compose the score on this project.
Small Actions Make Big Differences
Peoples return home with memories of unforgettable polar experiences, and often with an enhanced appreciation of the environment and the need to protect it.
Thanks to the Marine Biologist Annie Inglis who collaborated with me on this project. Thanks a lot also to Peter Sandberg who create a custom soundtrack for this special project.
Héritage de Guides
For decades in the Baie-des-Chaleurs, the tradition has been that each fishing guides share his values and knowledge to the next.
"Our culture, our Knowledge we need to share it. If we don't share it, it will leave with us and be of no use." Marc Leblanc

The North Pole by Dmitry Lobuso
"For me, bringing people from different countries to one point at the North Pole is a symbolic thing, that we are all human beings, we are all equal, we are all the same, and the borders that divide people into nations and countries are conditional and we should not have any contradictions in life. We all stand shoulder-to-shoulder, hand to hand, as one big family." Dmitry Lobusov

Den Långa Tystnaden
Meet Håkan Stenlund, hunter, writer, photographer, fly fisher from Sweden, who brings a particular attention to the nature that surrounds him. For Håkan hunting and fishing have always been part of his life, he’s definitely not the city boy and looks to be in nature every day. For him Hunting is a responsible way of living hid life. Knowing where your food comes and going for a sustainable healthy way of life is important. As for fly fishing, he wonders what brings us all back and makes us hooked so badly. Everyone wants to catch that big Baltic Salmon!
“The hunter does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, he kills in order to have hunted.” Håkan Stenlund

Le choix de la tranquillité
For Paul Cinq-Mars, the tranquility he finds at his trapper camp follows him in his actions and thoughts. He stays at his camp many months per year to disconnect with modern life and tries to share his lifestyle with other generations.
“Generations are aging as time goes by [...] every month youth is less experiencing life and nature fully. I think they are disconnected too fast. In a way their choice is normal because they never really had the chance to live and fully enjoy the joy of being outdoor in the forest.”
“If you can show it to your kids or to someone interested in this lifestyle, there is only one life, show them. That’s the way I think.”
Producer : Hooké in collaboration with Sepaq
ORAGE Faces + Places Ep 3 : Félix
Félix is not your typical skier. He didn’t start out learning alongside his ski-loving parents, nor did he stare out the school window dreaming about hitting the slopes. “Skiing wasn’t something I thought about as a kid,” he says. “No one in my family really skied.” And it wasn’t the call of fresh powder that brought Félix to Gaspé, either. The young man from Drummondville was simply drawn to the beauty of the landscape and the wild vastness of the Chic-Choc Mountains
